POLZEATH BEACH, WADEBRIDGE, CORNWALL

This is a great beach with plenty going on. Some days if you are lucky you may get to see dolphins or seals swimming here. It’s a sand and shingle beach with great rock pools to explore with the kids. There are toilets, a refreshment bar, and lifeguards helping to keep you safe in the summer months.

FISTRAL BEACH, NEWQUAY, CORNWALL

Fistral Beach located in Newquay is thought of as the Mecca of surfing. There are many World-class competitions, events, and concerts held here so it’s very popular with the younger generation. It’s a lively beach and can be busy during peak/ holiday times but great for surfing. If you want a go at some big waves this is for you!

LUSTY GLAZE BEACH, LUSTY GLAZE ROAD, CORNWALL

More hidden than most of Cornwall’s other beaches, this beach has become a very popular place for swimmers, surfers, and beach lovers alike.  It is a very picturesque beach hidden in a wonderful cove surrounded by the wind-breaking high cliffs.

Lusty Glaze has beautiful fine, golden sand and reassuring safeness about this beach. It is privately owned, open 365 days per year, and patrolled all through the summer months with lifeguards. Winner of the Marine Conservation Society Recommended Award, which proves how much it is cared for, it has one of the highest possible standards of water quality and safety. This is a popular spot for both locals and tourists and a great family beach.

CRANTOCK BEACH, BEACH ROAD, NEWQUAY, CORNWALL

Crantock Beach is a big, wide sandy beach with great access and plenty of sand dunes to explore. Situated 2 miles from Crantock Village making it an ideal family day out, why not split your day… discover the village in the morning and check out the beach later in the day. It is a great beach to explore, but the currents make it tricky for swimming so do be careful. The views are truly spectacular. There are toilets, a café, and lifeguards here.

WATERGATE BAY, WATERGATE ROAD, NEWQUAY, CORNWALL

Watergate Bay is a very popular tourist spot, famously known for a beach that stretches for 3 miles of pure sand and set in a valley between Newquay and Padstow. It is ideal for surfing, getting regular good waves. The lifeguards are seasonal here, there is good access, car parking, toilets, café shop. A great beach and a super day out.

LOOE HARBOUR

The seaside town of Looe keeps visitors entertained all year round whilst still retaining a working fishing port.  Stand on the quayside in the evening and watch the boats return before dining on fresh fish in a local restaurant.  The town prides itself on its fresh fish, and be its award-winning fish and chips near the river or gourmet menus in smart restaurants overlooking the harbor, you know you won't be disappointed.

To work all that food off, Looe is a great place for walking. The South West Coast Path passes through the town, plus there are countless walks in the beautiful countryside, or along the two rivers that flow inland.

 For children, a safe sandy beach with rockpools beside it is all they need. Hours of free fun, and if they want to take after mummy and daddy and go fishing, then there's always crabbing from the quayside. 

SEATON BEACH

This lovely family beach with a large cafe, shop, parking, and toilets is in a quieter part of Cornwall to the east of Looe. It has everything you need for a memorable day out with a large beach of sand and small pebbles located at the entrance to the Seaton Valley Country Park, home to wildlife such as otters, kingfishers, dormice, and fritillary butterflies.

The beach is very popular with dog owners, shore fishermen and is one of the few beaches in this part of Cornwall that provides good waves for surfing. For the younger ones, they can enjoy paddling and splash about in the river that runs across the beach. There is also a playground behind the beach.
